CLASSROOM RULES AND POLICIES

 

HOMEWORK POLICY

  • Homework assignments are posted on homework board and website.

  • Students are responsible for writing their homework in their student agendas on Monday for the entire week. (or anytime it changes)

  • All homework must be completed at the beginning of the hour, unless noted.

  • If not complete, students will receive a punch in their punch card.

  • Homework must be 75% completed to not be counted as a late assignment.

  • Late work will be accepted only 1 day late for 50% credit.

  • One point will be deducted if homework does not have first and last name.

  • CHEATING, of any kind, is not permitted and will result in a zero. There is no reason for any student to have another student's work. Second offense will result in an office referral.

  • Students who attend sectionals and/or field trips during class must turn in their homework to the scheduled class.

DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES

1.Each student will be given a punch card to staple in their agenda.

2.Students will receive a hole punch on their punch card for a broken rule or uncompleted homework.

**Examples: incomplete homework, unprepared for class, inappropriate behavior, chewing gum, etc. (broken rule is within underneath hole punch)

3.  Every 3 punches = An after school detention will be issued for the following day (unless rescheduled with Mrs. Rusk or the main office)

4.  Detention slip not signed by parent/guardian = email/phone call home

5. If punch card is lost, Mrs. Rusk will issue a new card with accumulated punches and an additional punch for the lost card.

*New punch cards are given every quarter

*Punch cards are stapled to the front of the student’s agenda for guardians to view.
