Our Sixth Grade curriculum involves the study of Ancient Civilizations. We will be learning how through time people have learned to meet their basic needs of survival and shape the world we live in today. We will be studying the following Ancient Civilization:

• Stone Age

• Mesopotamia

• Egypt

• India and Persia

• China

• Greece

• Rome

Along with each civilization we will be completing activities and projects for a better understanding of their lifestyles. Some of these will need to be completed at home.

 

To align with our Common Core standards we will also be using Channel One news, Newsela, and other nonfiction resources to learn more about the world's current events. Please check out my Channel One News and Current Events pages for the latest news and assignments!
